Stranger: Your brother had me abducted again. JW

You: What for this time? -SH

Stranger: Well hold onto your deerstalker, because this one's a doozy. JW

Stranger: He asked me for a date. JW

You: He what?! And what did you say? -SH

Stranger: Yeah, he said he had some sort of ball coming up that required him to bring a date. JW

Stranger: Apparently I fit the bill. JW

You: And you're going with him? -SH

Stranger: I didn't know what to make of it. I pointed out that a date generally suggested romantic attachment. You know what he said? JW

Stranger: He /fancies/ me! JW

You: Oh god. You're not going to go with him are you? -SH

Stranger: Dunno, what do you think? JW

You: Reject him. -SH

Stranger: Why's that? JW

You: Because I know the exact ball he's talking about, It's our 'family' ball, well, what /he/ calls family. I'm going too. -SH

Stranger: Are you really? JW

You: Have too, Mother's going, she told me it would 'make an impression' -SH

Stranger: Well, maybe I will go then. You never have gotten around to introducing me to the rest of your family. JW

You: You can't go with Mycroft. -SH

Stranger: And why can't I? JW

You: Because I want you to come with me. -SH

Stranger: When were you planning on asking me? JW

You: Well, quite soon actually, Mycroft beat me to it of course. -SH

Stranger: Well, I don't want to come between you and your brother. JW

You: Oh please John, you've never been in the way. Mycroft knew I was going to ask you, therefore asked you himself. -SH

Stranger: You mean it was a ploy? JW

You: Quite possibly, he may have feelings for you I suppose, but that's on his own accord. -SH

Stranger: And... what of you? JW

You: Okay yes I may or may not have some feelings for you, but I still need a 'date' to the ball regardless. -SH

Stranger: Right. Well, let me know what you've worked out and I'll give you my answer. JW

You: John. -SH

Stranger: Sherlock. JW

You: I have feelings for you. -SH

Stranger: Well that's more like it. JW

Stranger: Thank god you manned up. If you'd made me go with Mycroft just to prove a point I'd never have forgiven you. JW

You: I wouldn't bare watch you go with Mycroft. -SH

You: Will you go to the ball with me, John? -SH
